Was planning to watch from the sidelines for the first couple weeks but I can't resist this one.

Toronto +3, -110 x2

Grey Cup rematch. Usually a defending champion does not fare well early in the season, in all sports. Having said that though I feel this will be an exception. Toronto's players were anxiously waiting to get back to training camp and seem dedicated to be a better team this year. They return virtually everyone.

This game opened about a pk. It should have stayed there imo.

adding a small play on the Over. Toronto's offense was it's soft spot last year and with everyone returning it should produce better results. And after the defense and special teams was forced to carry the team to the Grey Cup they should feel obligated to put up much better numbers this time around. Quite frankly it can't get any worse then it was last year.

I also believe Toronto's defense will have a slight letdown this year. They were actually ranked in the bottom 3 in yards given up last year but seemed to be able to stifen when it counted. Although I do believe there is some strategy to this I also believe there was considerable luck. In the NFL it does become harder to score in the redzone because you have less field to work with but in the CFL the width and length are larger (20 yard endzones) so it questions further that Toronto was probably quite fortunate last season.

And of course BC has one if not the best scoring offense in the CFL.

should be a good game, we are on opposite sides here as I think the Lions players are a little more hungrier for this one,, Dickenson looking great so far in pre-season..

Recap: 0-2, -3.7x

Toronto was slightly unfortunate not to cover. Up 20-19 late in the 4th when BC went on a 70+ yard drive for the TD leaving just over a minute left. They were actually stopped just inside Toronto's 40 yard line when a goofball Toronto defender hit the BC QB late which kept the drive alive. Toronto then were able to drive the ball down to BC's 14 yard line and had a ball slip through a reciever's hands in the endzone. On the next play with just over 10 seconds left Toronto QB D. Allen coughed it up while trying to escape pressure.

Overall was a good game to watch putting aside my betting interests.

No big surprises around the league. Everything went according to plan.

Hopefully some good lines coming this week, looks like all road favs...
